1. About the Toursinthecity.com tour services

Is it possible to book a tour when I get there?

Toursintecity tours can only be booked online. It is recommended to pre book your travel service to avoid disappointment as many of the Toursinthecity products are popular, and can be sold out early. We advise you to book a tour at least 36 hours in advance.

Can you tell me if there are any hotels close to the departure point?

If you would like to have information about services outside of what is provided by Toursinthecity (such as hotel accommodation near the departure point for a tour), we advise that you contact your local licensed travel agent, or the local tourist agency for that destination.

How does Tours in the City work?

By selecting a type of tour and a city in the yellow booking menu, there will be an overview of all the available city tours in the city of choice. You can make a choice based on the type of tour, language, stops and/or costs.


How do I pay the tour I booked?

Tours in the City is cooperating with selected partners in the different cities. The tour will be paid at the location before it starts. If a credit card payment is required, we will inform you during the booking process.

I am travelling in a group - do you have a group discount program?
Tours in the City is the specialist when it comes to group excursions to European cities.

Toursinthecity offers a wide range of individual tours however we can arrange customized tours. I have not received a reply to my emails?

Some email internet providers can mark general booking emails such as those sent from Toursinthecity as "spam" - please check your spam folder for previous email replies. If you have your spam filter set on the highest ranking, only emails from senders in your address box will go into your inbox. Any other emails (such as replies from internet sites you have booked on) will go into a "spam" folder. These emails can sit in this folder for up to 7 days and then your email system will automatically delete them.

When do I receive confirmation of my booking?

The confirmation process depends upon the booking conditions. Most tours are confirmed at time of booking, however others will be advised to you within 48 hours. If confirmation or otherwise is not received within 48 hours, please contact Toursinthecity for further assistance.

Where is the meeting point for my tour?
The meeting point of your tour will be sended to you by email after you have made a booking.

Can I book by telephone?
Toursinthecity is a complete online booking service and we offer 7 days a week a  24 hour customer service via email to support your booking questions. Or contact us Monday-Friday between 9.00 and 19.00 (CET) on 0034 660 291 549.

Can I book car rental / flights / hotels through Toursinthecity?

Toursinthecity does not offer bookings for car rental, flights or hotels. Toursinthecity is specialized in sightseeing tours in European cities. For other travel information, we recommend you to contact an online travel agent or your local licensed travel agent.

Can you check the availability for a tour?

Availability differs depending on the type of travel service booked. We always do our utmost best to guarantee availability on each tour. When you book a tour, you will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours.

Can you send me more information?

On our information pages we have displayed all the tour details. You should find all the information you need about your desired travel product on these pages. If there are other details you would like to know that are not specified anywhere on these pages, please contact the Toursinthecity Customer Service.

3. Other questions about your existing booking?

Is there a contact number at the destination for me to call?

Yes. Once you have a confirmed booking, all the details of your travel service provider are located on your Toursinthecity voucher under the heading Important Information.

I will not arrive on time or would like to cancel my tour, what do I do?

If you can not arrive at your destination in time or if you would like to cancel your tour, please contact the company which executes your tour. You will find the contact information of the Toursinthecity-partner in your Toursinthecity confirmation email.

Can I change my booking?

It may be possible to change your booking, however this depends on the availability. Contact the Toursinthecity Customer Service with your current Toursinthecity booking number and specific details of your amendment, and we will be able to advise if the change is possible.

What happens if it rains, or if the travel service provider cancels on the day?

Unless the weather directly effects the travel service you have booked, all travel services will operate as scheduled. If you would like to cancel your booking, please contact the Toursinthecity Customer service.
